Personal chef services

When you eat out do you take time to consider the true cost of your meal?

The cost of restaurant meals are not just about the dollars. Let’s face it, the quality of ingredients, amount of fat, salt and preservatives is totally out of your control. Not to mention the inconvenience of waiting in line or paying for gas, time away from a quality meal at your own dining room table. If you have any dietary needs at all, it is almost impossible to eat out. I can provide you with an alternative that you can have available at your fingertips.                  

Personal Chef Convenience Service– Multiple meals prepared for you to use immediately or for freezer storage to be used at a later date.

Imagine coming home to a delicious dinner, without having to shop, cook or clean. We do all the work for you.

  • The Eclectic Kitchen offers these services as part of our Personal Chef package- Discovery of your food preferences, likes and dislikes in an in-depth interview, noting all allergies and basic dietary needs.
  • Development of a customized meal plan and recommend a menu based on those guidelines (which you approve)
  • Personally shop for all of the ingredients and bring them to your home, providing all spices, condiments and sauces for all of those creative meals you want to enjoy!
  • Prepare the meals in the safety of your own kitchen, bringing any equipment IF needed. Using Covid precautions like sanitizing surfaces before and after, wearing masks when required.
  • Package and label each meal, and store it in your freezer or refrigerator, leaving complete reheating and serving instructions
  • Leave the kitchen spotless, smelling wonderful and full of delicious meals!

 

Monthly Dinner Packages

Once a month, I’ll custom design a menu, shop for the freshest ingredients, cook, clean and package your meals. The service provides a complete meal with adult portions* of protein, vegetables and carbohydrates. Proteins include meat, fish or various vegetarian options. Carbohydrates and vegetable sides will vary each week to your preference. I prepare only the healthiest options, whole grains, healthy oils and the best produce available. We will incorporate your CSA fruits and vegetables where available.  No trans fats or high fructose corn syrup, every meal personally tailored for your needs

12 Dinner Service- This consists of your choice of 3 entrees in 4 adult portions*- $250 plus cost of groceries.

20 Dinner Service- This consists of your choice of five (5) entrees in 4 adult portions*-$300.00 plus cost groceries

40 Dinner Service- This consists of your choice of five (5) entrees in 8 adult portions*- $400 plus cost of groceries

*alternatively packaged meals require additional fee for time.

 *Adult portions are generally the Food Guide suggestion for a healthy diet- 6-8 oz of meat based protein (vegetarian alternatives available ) 1-2 cups of carbohydrate and 1 cup of fruit or vegetable per meal. A note about children and seniors portions (approx. age 3-8 or 70+) are usually 1/2 adult portion. 

Packaging

I do prefer to use glass containers. They are better for you and the environment however I will use alternatives based on individual preferences, which are not included. My clients can provide me with their own appropriate containers or I can provide them for additional charge.  Average cost of reusable glass and ceramic containers (Pyrex, Corning Ware) is a one time, fee (market price TBD).  This is a great option for long term service or if you wish to serve your meals directly from the container.

Sliding Scale Flat Fee Service- This consists of paying an hourly rate $75 with a minimum of 2 hours plus the cost of groceries and supplies. This allows for special needs and events.

First 2 hours; $75 per hour

Additional hours; $55 per hour

Full 8hr Day – $400

Premiere Fresh Service

Do you prefer to have the additional service of fresh only meals? I can come to your home twice weekly to prepare fresh serve recipes, especially for you. This brings you a total of 12 or 24 fresh meals over the course of the week prepared on two different days. A great way to have delicious meals on hand for everyday!

12 Premier Fresh Dinners- Your choice of 6 entrées each in 2 adult sized portions or 4 entrees in 3 portions – $365/week plus groceries

24 Premier Fresh Dinners- Your choice of 6 entrée’s each in 4 adult sized portions or 4 entrees in 6 portions – $465/week plus groceries

 Ala carte Options for a Personal Chef Service –Specialty Salads, Soups, Desserts, Fresh Vege and Fruit Preparation

Pay an hourly fee of $50 plus cost of groceries for the following;

 Soup Kettle Service- Homemade Soups

Specialty Salads- supply of seasonal fresh, washed* and prepared salads, including condiments and toppings and to order salad dressings (low/no fat, salt, sugar etc)

Fresh Vege and Fruit Preparation- supply of fresh, washed* and prepared fresh vegetables or fruits for your lunches or snacking pleasure

Baked Goods and Desserts- individually priced due to range of time required

*Parawash is a natural, healthy solution using grapefruit seed extract to soak fruits and vegetables to help clean unwanted dirt and pests from produce.

Meat and Potatoes Service

 If you are not worried about calories or are looking for a meal service to provide you with just the basics- protein and carbohydrates, we can do that too. It’s a healthy alternative to frozen dinners and fast food restaurants. This service can be stored in individual or family style containers. Fees are the same as for basic packages.  

 

 

Private Dinner Parties and Special Events

Are you thinking of an intimate dinner for two? How about a special night for you and friends? A themed dinner party? An evening soiree with many guests? An unforgettable birthday party?

 Chef Channon and the Eclectic Kitchen can do all of those and more.  Our extensive experience with creative menus and party planning gives us a unique edge in helping to make your special event a success. We have created menus for themed weddings, private dinner parties, children’s parties, fundraisers and more. We will come to your home, after shopping for the freshest ingredients, prepare your meal and serve your guests. We offer consultation on your table setting, a wine pairing and kitchen clean up. Serving staff for passed appetizers can be provided.

“Hidden Chef” Holiday Dinner and Advance Dinner Party  Prep

Chef Channon will take all the fuss out of holiday meals and dinner parties by being a “Hidden Chef” preparing your special meal in advance and leaving it for you to serve. We can prepare your soup, salad, hors d’oeuvres or appetizers, main entree, side dishes and dessert.

After consulting with you on your needs, we shop for fresh ingredients, come in to your home before the day of the event and prepare and package the meals for storage in the refrigerator (we can use disposable containers or your serving ware). On the day of the event, you simply follow the detailed reheating instructions. A short time later, you can sit down to enjoy a great dinner, stress free.

These services normally use your serving ware, dishes and linens. Other arrangements can be made.
